Payment Information

Chicago is a very expensive city to visit and we have worked hard to keep the cost as low as possible.  The trip has a cost of $200 per student.  This includes all charter bus transportation, tours, shows, breakfast, and lunch. The only items that our cost does not cover is dinner and spending money. We estimate dinner to be between $10 and $20. Students interested in the optional activity of visiting View 360 should bring an additional $7 for the admission fee. If your child participated in the Cookie Dough Fundraiser, part of their proceeds will be applied towards the cost of the trip. Account balances will be sent home when they have been verified. PLEASE NOTE: ONCE WE HAVE YOUR DEPOSIT, WE DEPEND ON YOU TO COME ON THIS TRIP and you ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR FULL PAYMENT unless you cancel by December 14, 2018. Your $100 deposit is non-refundable. (This includes spring sport conflicts.)

Chaperones

We need as many parent chaperones as possible!  The cost for chaperones will be $160 and will cover all costs except dinner and spending money.  Our goal is to have at least one adult for every five students.  Chaperones must have a current background check on file with BCSC central office. Please visit https://www.brownsburg.k12.in.us/8th-Chicago-2019 to complete yours.   Background checks are only valid for 3 years. Chaperone deposits of $100 are due with your child’s registration.

Please know that we hold our students to very high standards and this includes their grades and behavior in other classes and school activities.  To be eligible to travel to Chicago, a student must:

  1. Have passing grades in all classes
  2. Have no more than two office referrals
  3. Have no unexcused choir performances.
  4. Have no OSS in the 2018-2019 school year.

(Partial refunds can be issued if a student becomes ineligible after payments have been made)

If you would like to reserve a seat for your child and yourself as a chaperone, please see the attached reservation form.  We are looking forward to sharing the sights and sounds of Chicago with our students! Please contact us if you have further questions.
